You should be familiar with UK site investigation techniques and practise and be able to understand soils and rock to BS 5930+A2 and be familiar with the requirements of Eurocode 7 as a basis for the preparation of geotechnical reports and ideally some experience of designs, including slope stability, excavations, retaining walls, basements/deep chambers and foundations.

You will likely have: A strong academic background, with a master’s level degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Engineering GeologyExperience in developing innovative geotechnical engineering solutions to current design standards.

You will be responsible for managing the independent site inspections and surveillances, liaising with the client on inspection issues, ensuring the documentation is being produced on time, non- conformances are raised in a timely manner, reviewing documentation, and supporting the Quality Manager.

You will work closely with the Engineers and Senior Engineers to ensure that the fieldwork that you will be supervising is carried out to the highest standards.

You should have a desire to work in the geotechnical and geo-environmental sector and want to develop abilities in fieldwork supervision in order to gain the experience necessary to enable factual and interpretive report writing.
