You will be expected to serve the whole of the multi-racial and multi-cultural community of The Bay area and demonstrable values and commitment to diversity and anti-discriminatory practice. This will require the successful applicant to be a leader, mentor, teacher and role model.

You will be instrumental in delivering duties that are aimed at promoting a timely assessment of needs and recovery from mental illness. The role will include accepting members of the public detained under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act, co-ordinate assessments, undertake assessments and complete the clinical paperwork.

You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working.

You will be given responsibility for holding an occupational therapy caseload, with the full support of your designated clinical supervisor and site lead, also contributing to staff training and consultation as required?

You will play a key role in service development—leading the overarching mental health strategy to facilitate a trauma informed approach across the organisation. As well as a subject matter expert in mental health: specifically around the interface with safeguarding and patient safety.
