You will play a key role in leading delivery of your workstream, ensuring activities are engineered to specification and delivered safely, profitably, and to customer satisfaction. This is a permanent staff position. Security requirement: Candidates must have security experience and be able to obtain Security Clearance once in post.

You will work closely with manufacturing, quality and users to continuously improve performance, reliability, and usability, while designing within a regulated medical-device environment.

You will provide professional Mechanical Engineering design expertise on multiple projects, from concept generation and engineering analysis to detailed design and formal verification.

You will have strong technical & problem-solving skills and be qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline with industry experience in a suitable design or engineering discipline.

You will need to hold a qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline (minimum HNC level) and have experience working in low volume or bespoke manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles, particularly relating to CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and optics handling.
