You will be leading an engineering team that works across the full Linux stack from kernel to GUI, to optimise Ubuntu, the world's most widely used Linux desktop and server, for the latest silicon.
You will also represent the team in direct partner engagement as well as ensuring timely delivery on agreed project milestones.
You will be supporting customers by building their platforms from scratch so experience with Bare Metal builds and using Kickstart (or similar) is beneficial as well having Cloud experience (ideally Azure or AWS as both platforms are used)
You will act as the interface between our design teams and our manufacturing teams while working alongside other support engineers to provide knowledge and support. Whilst the primary aim is focused on highly advanced module missile programmes and subsystems, there is also scope to work on other unique opportunities including support to launcher assemblies.
You will be working with a small team of dedicated engineers in a fast-paced but friendly and inclusive manufacturing environment. The team has a great mix of people, ranging from apprentices and graduates through to time served experienced engineers, all striving to deliver technical excellence across a number of different weapon systems in development and production.
You will act as a technical authority for core business applications, particularly ERP systems and Microsoft 365, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver secure, resilient, and business-focused solutions.
You will regularly present technical solutions, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders, translating complex technical detail into clear business outcomes.
