You should hold either a relevant teaching assistant qualification (such as a CACHE Level 3) or a university degree (although this does not necessarily need to relate to childcare or education). You will be working in a Year 6 class providing support to the class teacher and preparing the classroom for lessons and activities.

You will need to have excellent behaviour management skills and be able to use your own initiative as well as work as part of a team.

You must also have excellent subject knowledge.

You will also be required to assist with personal care, ensuring the child’s well-being and comfort throughout the school day.
