You will be trained in using various types of machinery, in the forming of steel plate.

You will be expected to develop your skills with a range of hand tools, such as scribes, dividers, hammers and computer-aided burning machines.

You will be trained in skills that apply to the steelwork environment and will include burning, welding and slinging.

You will rotate through several specialised teams, each focused on different aspects of plant maintenance.

You will get hands-on experience with a broad range of equipment, including variable speed drives, computer numerical control (CNC) machinery, automated welding, cranes, robotics, thermography and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
