You should hold a degree in psychology or a related subject and demonstrate a calm, patient approach to working with young people. A strong interest in special educational needs and the ability to adapt to different learning styles is essential. Any experience working with children or in a support role will strengthen your application.

You will play a key role in delivering targeted behaviour interventions, supporting students in our Refocus room, and providing on-call support to staff across the school. A daily lunchtime duty will also form part of your responsibilities.

You will deliver structured 1:1 and small-group support that ties directly to classroom learning.

You will break tasks into simple steps, model planning and note-taking, and rehearse routines for homework and revision.

You will run short, focused sessions in reading, writing and numeracy, then apply gains to subject work in English, maths, science and humanities.

You will ensure the services operate safely, effectively, and in line with regulatory, contractual, and organisational standards.
