You should have good curriculum knowledge and will be able to bring an energetic and enthusiastic approach to bring subjects to life. Good classroom management and differentiation skills are important. This role is offered on a contract basis initially, but could become a permanent post for the right Teacher.
You will work closely with the pupils on a 1 to 1 and small group basis to support them across a range of academic lessons.
You should have a calm and consistent approach and be committed to supporting pupils to make progress and overcome learning barriers.
You will work closely with the SENDCO and subject teachers, providing assessments and reports.
You will work closely with class teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences, provide targeted support to individuals or small groups, and occasionally cover whole-class lessons. Class cover may include other year groups, depending on the needs of the school.
You will need an Enhanced DBS certificate to work with children and 2 references covering the past two years. If you haven't got a DBS, we can help you apply for one from the UK Disclosure and barring service. Most importantly you need a confident, positive and professional approach to working with young people.
