You will provide high-quality care, promote independence and daily living skills, follow care plans, and maintain accurate records. The role involves supporting children who may have learning disabilities, physical disabilities, complex needs, and those who may present challenging behaviours, while ensuring safeguarding, safety, and positive routines.
You will be working 2:1 or 1:1 with children in their homes.
You must be comfortable working with young people who may display challenging behaviour and require both direction and compassion.
You must be adaptable, calm under pressure, and able to build positive relationships with young people who have experienced trauma and instability.
You will be working as part of a team and covering day shifts and sleep ins.
You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role. Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
You will need to feel confident within a home environment for these specific needs and be able to take direction from senior members of staff, whilst being able to build positive relationships with pupils due to their need for continuity and stability.
