You will be responsible for all catering activities within the unit including menu planning, cooking and baking, stock control, maintaining budgetary targets, administration, supervision and training of staff.
You should have previous supervisory, administration and function work experience as well as experience of ordering and controlling stock.
You will work quickly and effectively to undertake basic food preparation, serving meals and beverages to our customers.
You should have good communication, literacy and numeracy skills as well as knowledge of current products and customer demands.
You will also be a good team player with experience of working with customers on a daily basis and minimal experience of till and cash handling.
You will help to work as part of the local team and as directed by the Head Teacher to supervise children during breakfast time in the school grounds, assisting with their welfare and promoting positive conduct in line with council policy and procedures.
You will also be responsible for cleaning tables and any spillages, ensuring the dining area is clean and tidy at all times.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with our key partners to monitor and manage the receipt, collection and financial spend of developer contributions to ensure compliance with planning permissions and the efficient and transparent financial management of contributions.
You will work closely with operational staff to provide effective and comprehensive business support within Social Work locality, Social Work units, Centralised Services and/or Integrated Teams within Partnership.
You should be educated to National 5 level and have relevant experience working in a dynamic office environment, with proficiency in various IT systems including Microsoft Office.
You will also be self-motivated with a flexible approach to work and have an ability to work as part of a team.
You will possess excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to solve problems using your own initiative.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.
