You will lead and support teams delivering refuse and recycling collections across the borough, ensuring compliance with legislation and meeting customer expectations. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.
You will collect and various types of waste and recycling materials associated with the kerb side collection schemes, recycling centres and recycling points.
You will also be included in the standby rota and will be available to work additional hours, outside normal working hours.
You will be responsible for supervising a team of 2-3 staff on house clearance and clean jobs. In addition, you will be required to drive the therefore a full, clean driving licence is required. The work will be physically demanding with all furniture, white goods, carpets, electrically items and furnishings to be removed within set timescales for clients.
You will react to fast changing situations quickly and positively by creating a safe & productive working environment. Each day is different in this varied, fast paced and hands on role. Due to the volume of collections, deliveries and donations, it is physically demanding, yet most rewarding as you play a part in helping to fund life saving research.
