You will support pupils who present with ASD, social communication difficulties, speech delays, emotional needs or developmental differences. Your day-to-day role will include implementing personalised support plans, helping children engage in play-based learning, supporting transitions, and encouraging positive interactions with peers.
You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team, including providing 1:1 support for a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and global developmental delay. Strong knowledge of visual supports, PECS, and Makaton is essential to help the child communicate and access learning successfully.
