You will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to provide personalised support that helps pupils access learning and develop independence. Key Responsibilities * Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN.

You will: * Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care experience welcomed).

You will be required to support the teacher in providing a safe, interesting and stimulating environment for all children.

You will work within a friendly team to achieve the aims and objectives of each day and to ensure a high standard of academic, emotional, social and intellectual support throughout the day.

You will be required to work on a 1:1 basis (or 2:1 with support of an additional practitioner).

You will be working on a flexible contract where various interventions will be offered based upon location and match with a student.

You will need to be available during daytime hours, Monday-Friday.

You will be taking an important role within the delivery of integrated children’s acute and community services. Child Health offers excellent development opportunities and a range of expertise for advice and support in your role.

You will work closely with teachers and classroom assistants in meeting care needs and in teaching health interventions and health promotion skills.

You will be required to work on a 1:1 basis (or 2:1 with support of an additional practitioner).

You will also be required to work with small groups of children to provide support and intervention.

You will also be expected to plan and prepare lessons with teachers, aswell as develop and prepare resources for learning activities.
