You will be representing the service provided by the Department, a high-level of customer focus is essential, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
You will be expected to operate as the primary on-site IT representative in the absence of the Global IT Manager or during periods of remote support, ensuring continuity of service and timely resolution of technical issues.
You will provide user and technical support over the phone, at the desktop and remotely providing high quality customer service at all times.
You will work within a small internal team of IT engineers and as such gain a great deal of ownership and technological exposure, retaining input when escalating issues so as to develop technological expertise.
You will be helping them with day-to-day problems that come up with their IT systems and equipment. For example, they may have a problem with Windows 10 or macOS computers; or you may be giving application support for Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
You will gain experience of a wide range of IT disciplines that you would not expect to cover working for a large company.
You will troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, escalate technical issues and assist in the maintenance of IT equipment such as laptops and desktops.
You will manage software applications, support Windows virtual and physical server management.
You will hold knowledge of servers, desktops and laptops as well as have familiarity with network protocols and hardware troubleshooting.
You will need to have a strong understanding of the M365 application suite such a SharePoint as well as having strong SQL skills.
