IT research scientist jobs in Coventry

You will set direction, make architectural decisions, and lead delivery from experimentation through to production in a high-scale environment.

You will be joining a business operating at national and international scale, investing heavily in applied machine learning that directly impacts revenue.

You will work on real production problems rather than research-only work, owning models from first iteration through to live deployment.

You will collaborate closely with other data scientists, data engineers, and DevOps, with the freedom to shape how GenAI and ML are used across the platform.

You will have built an optimization model using MILPs, heuristics, decomposition, or other methods (big focus on linear optimization, not so much on non-linear). In terms of skills you should have strong working experience with optimization solvers (e.g. Gurobi, Cplex, FICO Xpress optimization or other).

You will be responsible for planning, managing, and completing clinical investigations for emerging and innovative medical technologies, while providing strategic consultation on study design, regulatory approach, and commercialisation strategy. We anticipate the post will involve hybrid working, with the successful candidate working part of the week from office facilities in Coventry/Warwickshire.
