You will work with children who have identified SEN needs. Your role will involve supporting pupils in the classroom, participating in specialist mentoring sessions, and assisting during some break times.
You will also be required to provide 2 professional references covering at least the last 2 years and complete our online application followed by a video or face-to-face interview.
You will be working with children with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language needs, sensory processing disorders, physical disabilities and communication difficulties.
You will help identify triggers and barriers to learning, as well as implementing your knowledge of psychological theory and apply it in the classroom.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our SEN policy, ensuring every child, regardless of their needs, has the support to thrive. This is a role where truly getting to know each pupil and being able to build positive relationships with clear boundaries combined with care and compassion are vital elements of the role.
You will be responsible for meeting the support requirements of our customers, in a way that respects the individual and promotes their independence.
You will be expected to travel to the customer’s home and assist them with daily tasks as agreed with the customer. The type of support that you will be providing is no different to what would reasonably be given by a member of the person’s family.
