You will need good knowledge of using Control Systems to control the hydraulics, things like closed-loop control, motion control, servo control, PID tuning etc.
You will be working on complex, bespoke test rigs that operate like “testing robots”, combining hydraulics, electronics, controls, software and mechanical engineering at a very high level.
You will be based at Kemble Court in Green Park, Reading, located just off the M4 and a 20-minute bus ride from central Reading. What you should bring to the role
You will be joining a team working together and supporting each other to deliver a critical service in a fast-paced environment.
You will have demonstrable knowledge/experience in hydraulic engineering/fluid mechanics, including knowledge of some hydraulic analysis software such Hades, Varism or Flow 3D.
You will also have experience of reviewing technical content and mentoring junior staff. Most importantly, you’ll embody our values and ethos of putting people first, client focus and service excellence.
You will take ownership of developing robust engineering design solutions that meet client requirements and ensure successful project outcomes through to process commissioning.
You will also have the opportunity to develop client relationships, lead design discussions, and contribute to integrated, high-quality project delivery across all stages.
