You will be designing and delivering complex subsea and maritime systems where pressure, structure, lifting, fabrication and deployment genuinely matter.
You will own mechanical design for complex maritime and subsea systems, solving real engineering problems involving pressure, structure, fatigue and manufacture.
You will be required to carry out all works in accordance with the lift manufacturers' specification and safety procedures and you should be available to participate in a roster system to provide 24-hour standby service, which will include some Bank Holidays.
You will also be required to be available to travel to other parts of the Channel Islands by Air or Sea, to work as required by the Company.
You will report to the Technical Engineering Manager and alongside the Design team you will be expected to generate production ready designs and help ensure the smooth running of the department.
You will ensure that new products are designed and developed within the agreed timescales and to the standards expected.
You will act as the technical authority on projects, guiding our Sales Engineer on what's achievable and managing the 3D print team to deliver on time and to specification. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing mould tools, patterns, or similar tooling applications, and understands the practical realities of taking a design from screen to finished product.
