You will be supporting an organisation with a strong safety culture to achieve and maintain the highest radiation safety and environmental standards.
You will work closely with engineers, scientists, designers and safety professionals, striving to optimise radiation exposures within an established but continually developing science campus.
You will be expected to confidently present a variety of science themes, whilst providing a safe environment for the children to complete the activities and ensure sessions are fun and engaging.
You will be expected to travel to the school’s premises on the day of your after-school club, from your home which is accounted for in the rate of pay.

You will teach Science across KS3–KS5, delivering engaging and ambitious lessons that make excellent use of the school’s modern laboratories and specialist equipment.
You will also have opportunities to contribute to science clubs, academic societies, and enrichment programmes designed to broaden students’ scientific horizons.
You will have a background in an Electrical Engineering discipline, with at least a Level 3 Qualification and recognised Apprenticeship, or HNC or above in a relevant discipline.
You will be passionate about a career in electrical engineering with some experience of design, manufacture, assembly, testing and commissioning of Electrical systems.
You will teach Science across KS3–KS4, with opportunities for KS5 depending on your experience and specialism. The ideal teacher will be confident delivering both theoretical and practical science, committed to high standards and enthusiastic about enhancing the department’s already strong curriculum.
You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, use hand tools and able to work at height.
You will take a hands-on approach in the assistance of building fabric maintenance and rigging, be prepared to learn new skills and have a flexible approach to working conditions/environment.
