You will play a pivotal role in shaping the mechanical functions throughout the lifecycle of various projects. The role of a Principal Mechanical Engineer includes: - Lead and oversee the design, planning, and execution of the mechanical engineering aspects of our projects. - Provide technical expertise and guidance to our mechanical engineers and project teams.

You will be based in the Reading office, working closely with a specialist drainage and water team while contributing to projects across the South East and wider UK. You will ideally have:

You will work in teams delivering either financial statement audit; technology audit; audit related data, analytics and tools; independent assurance over other info such as regulatory/ESG/internal controls; learning and development; quality/risk/knowledge management; and/or specialist, technical accounting advice (non-audited entities only).

You will have significant experience within functional safety management together with knowledge of Defence Standards 00-055, 00-056 & 00-051.

You will have significant experience in a senior technical role in complex systems development together with a good understanding of systems engineering, software engineering and functional safety together with the following:
