You will possess broad and extensive experience within the flight test community
You will have the ability to teach on the ground and instruct in the air (FTEIs teach alongside TPIs in some airborne sorties) and possess the ability to clarify subject material that is inherently complex so that students of all nationalities can understand and then apply the associated principles
You will build and analyse models in a collaborative environment, focusing on aircraft performance and flight dynamics. Essential qualifications include proficiency in Matlab/Simulink and knowledge of UAV flight dynamics. This full-time role offers a salary between £40,000 and £50,000, plus benefits like health insurance and enhanced parental leave.
You will report to a Team Leader and work within a multi-disciplined project team, contributing to air vehicle design, integration, and test activities. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will: - Produce Technical Artifacts: Produce engineering artifacts including design data and technical documentation, to required standards (e.g., BS:8888) and good GD&T principles.
You will work within the Air Vehicle Design team, focused on multi-disciplinary modelling and simulation activities. As a Modelling and Simulation Engineer, you will: - Model and Analyse: Build models, simulate, and analyse aircraft performance and flight dynamics. - Implement Test Environments: Implement flight simulation and visualisation test environments.
You will need to be able to operate in an expeditionary environment.
