You will be supporting children and young people (aged 10-18) who are dealing with complex social, emotional, and behavioural issues, often stemming from past trauma. Your role is vital in guiding them through their journey-from secure services to residential care, and ultimately to a positive transition back to family, independent living, or adult support services.

You will support the Community Treatment Room Nursing Staff/ District Nurse or their deputy to deliver safe and effective patient care within a community/ clinic setting, mainly without direct supervision.

You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of trauma and the impact of this on others and be competent to practice in a trauma responsive way.

You will be able to provide children/ young people with a sense of safety and connectedness and teach coping skills in the face of complex challenging behaviour.

You will have responsibility for the safety and well-being of our young people throughout the night. This can be a vulnerable time for our young people and as such you will have the skills and abilities to be able to support our young people through times of crisis.
