You will manage the full sales lifecycle from enquiry, technical discussions and design input through to quotation, negotiation and closing - personally generating £1.5m+ annual revenue. This isn't a "sales chat" role. We want someone credible, technically strong and able to work consultatively with customers.

You will be trusted, visible, and close to the technology.

You will also manage the technical service escalation queries and processes via online and system portals

You will become a vital member of the technical service team to ensure that technical customer service care is high quality for all local business partners and end customers

You will negotiate with suppliers, maintain strong supplier relationships, drive cost savings and support continuous improvement within the procurement function, reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager. This position would suit a Technical Buyer, or similar, looking to join a nationally recognised leader in the electrical engineering industry with international reach.

You will work within a technical support / technical service team that provide engineering support for electrical systems / control systems installed across the UK rail sector.

You will also work alongside project teams to carry out in-house testing and onsite commissioning activities.
