You will provide advice and hands-on assistance to clients throughout the lifecycle of professional indemnity and related insurance claims. This includes liaising with insurers, loss adjusters and solicitors, supporting internal broking teams, and assisting senior management with reporting and technical insight.

You will assess policy coverage, interpret wordings, and deliver a consistently high level of service to clients, intermediaries, and third parties.

You will join a supportive and collaborative Manchester-based claims team, with close links to the wider business.

You will be working 3 days with your team and 2 days from home.

You will join the Resilience and Recovery Directorate (RED) which supports local partners and MHCLG in planning for, responding to and recovering from emergencies, providing a critical link between central government and local partners supporting communities on the ground. Our processes, ways of working and systems are in need of innovation so that we are better leveraging modern technology.

You will speak to customers to understand what has happened and what damage has been done to their vehicle. Where the incident has involved other vehicles, drivers, or damage to other property, you will gather a complete picture of that too.

You will kick off the process so that our customer can get back on the road as quickly and as seamlessly as possible.

You will be responsible for handling reception calls, triaging queries and directing clients to the appropriate department.

You will also be responsible for the administrative function of the HR Advisory and Documentation department, liaising directly with colleagues within the teams and across other areas within the business.

You will be part of a small, highly skilled team comprising 7 AMHPs, a Social Care Assessor and a Team Manager, providing a critical frontline response in complex and high-risk situations. This is a lone-working role suited to a confident and autonomous practitioner who thrives in fast-paced emergency work.
