You will perform mechanical maintenance, inspections, and repairs while ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, basic electrical knowledge, and should be proactive and reliable. You will develop digital engineering skills to complete on the job placements in a cross-section of branches, this will focus mainly on project work and systems modelling/integration. In your final years, you focus on a specific engineering discipline e.g. Aerodynamics, Systems Engineering, Support Engineering from several Air Engineering programmes.
You will be working with six people from principals to apprentices, liaising with operational managers, heads of departments as well as the Health & Safety teams. This role offers exposure to the Wider Control Damage Hazards team whilst individually being given the opportunity for professional growth within the function.
You will become exposed to a wide range of technical disciplines, be able to follow technical argument and be able to influence the integrity of the final product.
