You will also carry out planned maintenance checks on systems and equipment, repair gas leaks or old gas system parts, and be responsible for installing/repairing heating system pipe work, while advising customers about gas safety and energy efficiency. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road, we will provide you with a van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.
You will work closely with Operations, Pre‑Contract, Commercial, HS&W, Quality and Customer Strategy to ensure design and engineering excellence is embedded across bids, projects and operational delivery.
You should be a time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems or with NVQ or C&G level 3 in electrical engineering. 18th Edition preferred, but training can be given. A problem solver, able to identify potential issues and implement solutions, or escalate if required.
You will then take on a portion of the support work whilst working with an experienced developer until full technical competency is attained.
You will use a range of technologies in the core products, mainly but not limited to C#, T-SQL and ASP.
You will have a valid UK driving license and your own transport.
You will investigate plant failures and carry out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid interruptions to the process.
You will be expected to provide technical advice, refer to up-to-date technical knowledge, and provide training or support for technical trainees if required.
