You will be supporting 3 wonderful gentlemen in Bolsover (S44 postcode area). It is really important that you can connect with the people we support and therefore we are looking for people who share the same interests. Some of the activities we love to do is long walks in nature, gaming, horse riding, cooking, shopping, so you will need bags of enthusiasm.
You will be positively supporting people by providing holistic support including personal care, medication administration, integration into the local community and managing their anxieties, which they may communicate through distressing behaviour. No experience is necessary, so don't worry if you don't think you know enough about how to support adults with autism.
You will help create innovative ways to support individuals achieve their own personal goals, aims and ambitions. The support you provide will change with everyone you work with because everyone is different.
You will be responsible for supporting students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them manage their behaviour, engage in their learning, and develop key life skills. Your role will be crucial in fostering a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
