You will cover skills such as data mining, manipulating data, visualising data, and reporting on data. Study time for the qualification is approximately 30 hours and qualification is achieved by completing a 1-hour multiple choice exam.
You will be provided with access to a tutor and a 1-hour online revision workshop prior to sitting your exam.
You should have solid background in Machine Learning (ML) and/or statistical signal processing combined with excellent programming skills in Python and extensive experience in the use of libraries and toolboxes to support efficient development.
You will also have the opportunity to maintain strong links with Academic partners and to grow technical research areas of interest to you.
You will work across a variety of complex analytical problems, owning experimentation end-to-end—even when ideal conditions such as user randomisation or high statistical power are not present.
You will play a key role in managing data from study setup through to final analysis and dissemination, ensuring compliance with research governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
You will oversee data management processes, including database design, validation, and maintenance, as well as monitoring data quality and resolving discrepancies.
You will be encouraged to take on challenges and develop your skills in query writing and data extraction.
