Cyber Security Analyst jobs in Preston, Lancashire

You must have working experience of incident response and end-to-end security processes and procedures.

You will provide a comprehensive range of technical, operational, and risk management services. By working closely with our global teams, you will ensure adherence to industry standards, policies, and procedures, and proactively address emerging threats.

You will support the Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) Technical SMEs by providing hands-on technical analysis and development. The role is part of a broader cybersecurity programme aimed at enhancing secure access and governance across critical systems.

You will be key in helping deliver business improvements through digital and technological solutions within Shared Services which support all our BAE Systems sectors in the UK, giving you the opportunity to make a rewarding contribution to the work we do.

You will specialise in a Cyber Security Analyst pathway in your third year.

You should probably already know a bit about: - Cloud security across Azure and AWS – IAM, storage, networking, serverless, containers, monitoring. Not expecting you to be a cloud architect, but you should know your way around. - DevSecOps practices – secure pipelines, IaC security, dependency scanning, GitHub/Jenkins integrations.

You will learn industry-recognised methodologies, network security, threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response, while building practical experience with Live Labs.

You will gain practical experience by using practice labs which enable you to practice and master what you have learned.

You will then go on to sit the CompTIA A+ and the CompTIA Network+ exams to give you the official certifications which will be recognised not only in the UK, but worldwide.
