You will teach History across KS3-KS5, ensuring the curriculum is challenging and skills-focused. The role includes developing departmental expertise in sequencing knowledge and skills effectively to prepare students for strong GCSE outcomes. Experience and Qualifications - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in History.
You will lead curriculum development, set ambitious expectations, and support colleagues to deliver engaging lessons that enable all students to achieve their potential.
You will build on the department's existing strengths and drive improvements in student outcomes, ensuring learners develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive academically and personally.
You should be thoroughly familiar with the National Curriculum at Key Stager 3 and Key Stage 4. We are seeking a teacher with a proven track record of adding value to their students with consistently good lessons. Previous experience teaching at Key Stage 5 is a bonus as the school has a Sixth Form and some A level teaching could be developed into your role.
