Contract Software Engineer jobs in Cheshire

You will join a cross-functional product engineering team working on the evolution and modernisation of a core SaaS platform. The focus is on building scalable, cloud-native services while improving reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability.

You will design and deploy robust frontend client, backend services, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native solutions by utilising your software development knowledge and your DevOps proficiency across AWS and GCP.

You will be central to supporting and evolving two key pathology software systems—one in C#, the other in PHP—while also contributing to the planned consolidation into a modernised .

You will play a leading role in shaping scalable, secure cloud-based architecture while ensuring continuity of the existing systems.

You will also engage with the open-source community through GitHub issues and pull requests, helping guide usage and improve the quality of the SDKs based on real-world feedback. This role offers the chance to deepen your Go skills, work with modern tooling, and contribute to SDKs that developers rely on in production.
