You must have excellent communication and relationship management skills Ideally seeking candidates who are ACILA qualified or working towards this with CILA, DipCII or ACII qualifications
You will be managing a mixed case load of property claims, up to the value of £100k. These can vary in complexity so it’s essential to put yourself in the shoes of the policy holder, appreciate each situation differently by investigating each claim with tact and a calm manner, establishing the facts, policy details and work towards a resolution.

You will be home-based and work alongside a team of commercial major loss specialists, but only be responsible for losses in the domestic, mid and high net worth markets. These requirements exist on a national basis so you can be accommodated wherever you live. Applicant Requirements
You will be home-based, ideally living in the Central Belt and capable of handling a wide range of quality personal injury losses on a cradle-to-grave basis. Our client concentrates on smaller caseloads of quality losses with all work being undertaken on a time and expensed basis.
You should be self-motivated and confident in your own ability.
You will be given autonomy to handle those losses as you see fit supported by an excellent desk-based team. Your caseload will be no more than 60-70 losses thus enabling you to handle your portfolio in a thoroughly professional manner in a relatively pressure-free environment.
You will primarily operate within the Central Belt, but will be required to travel further afield to the Highlands and Islands as the portfolio of losses demand.
You should have a technical background in either private client or agricultural work, but should be willing to engage yourself in both product lines.
You will also be responsible for liaising with repair contactors regarding the scope and the works required and be the main point of contact to ensure assessment and reporting of settlement options and recommendations via the lead adjuster are communicated appropriately. Applicant Requirements
You will handle a wide and varied portfolio of commercial losses generally in excess of £500,000 for a range of SME to mid-corporate claims which will vary in size and complexity, but at all times they will provide a rewarding challenge. Applicant Requirements

As a Property Claims Handler you will: Answer incoming telephone calls and deal with incoming electronic instructions. Liaise with customers, clients, insurers via the telephone, email and in writing.
