ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Regional Senior Care Assistant with Barchester care homes, you'll deliver warm, empathetic and respectful care and support across a 20-mile radius to help our residents get the most out of life.

You will have full training and clinical support to develop and improve skills in various complex areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, stoma care, and so much more! We care for and support people of all ages, in the community, and their homes, with Spinal Cord injury, Muscular dystrophy, acquired brain injuries and many other complex needs.

You will work in the family home, where she lives with her family. 'I am non-verbal, but I’ve recently started using an Eye Gaze device at home and school to help me communicate. This is still quite new for both me and my family, so it’s important that you give me plenty of time to respond and understand what I’m trying to say.

You will have supervisory experience, Medication administration experience (& relevant qualification) as well as being a supportive mentor to the care assistants.

You will need 2 years’ previous experience gained from working with older people and people who experience dementia - previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant is desirable.
