You will undertake social care assessments and reviews under the Care Act 2014, managing a caseload of service users requiring complex case management.
You will carry out direct work with service users to meet identified social care needs, conduct safeguarding investigations when necessary, and develop strengths-based support plans to promote service users’ wellbeing and independence.
You will be a qualified counsellor / psychotherapist who holds at least a Diploma in Counselling / Psychotherapy or equivalent and be registered with BACP or equivalent (preferably an accredited member).
You will understand issues relating to trauma, be able to work as part of a team and feel confident working in a prison setting.
You will hold a Master's degree in relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
You will have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
You will have successful track record of teaching adult learners from diverse backgrounds on HE programmes
You will have proven experience of providing individual and group study skills support in response to identified learning needs
