You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service. This post requires Level 1 Disclosure Scotland Clearance.
You will play a key role in overseeing safe and efficient port operations, managing pier staff daily work routines, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, operational procedures, and legal requirements.
You will need to be adaptable and forward-thinking, driving continuous improvement and change within the port environment.
You will own the relationship from research and initial introductions, up until there is a fully qualified sales opportunity identified and an appointment booked for the client directly to interact with the prospect, either by telephone or face to face.
You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be fluent in English or German/French/Spanish/Italian/Russian or Arabic.
You will work on your own supervising children brushing their teeth, but you will have regular contact with the NHS Orkney Oral Health Team.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
You will be experienced in project management and have good knowledge of the renewable energy industry. It is considered beneficial if you also have experience of managing contractors and consultants, and in working on collaborative projects with third party funding. The role is technical, and you will be undertaking a technical, project management, and at times public facing role.
