You will be able to engage the residents through praise, direction and calmness and have the ability to work with initiative, resourcefulness and passion in order to provide support as part of a motivated team. Ideally you will have experience in a support worker setting and hold, or are working towards, a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
You will work with them, their families and other agencies to meet their assessed needs and support them to achieve their potential. Include assessment, planning and interventions with Children in Need, Children Looked After and Children in need of Protection, as well as young people preparing for adulthood.
You will support the children to have fun and engage in learning.
You will be cooking, cleaning and supporting with everyday tasks, depending on the child’s ability. We make the most of being close to the seaside and local amenities. We enjoy days out together, shopping, visiting the cinema and take part in and encourage the children’s interests.
