You will not be responsible for making diagnoses. Instead, you will complete structured assessments and detailed clinical reports that are presented to a multidisciplinary team, where final diagnostic decisions are made by senior clinicians (e.g. consultant psychologists or psychiatrists).
You will maintain an effective case management service to ensure care and continuity of treatment is maintained throughout a patient care pathway whilst detained in prison.
You will be required to ensure all clinics and consultations are delivered in a clinically effective and timely way and implement strategies designed to promote and improve health and prevent disease whilst in prison.
You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in line with clinical guidelines while working closely with multidisciplinary teams and the Head of Care. RGN or Registered Paediatric Nurse with Learning Disabilities experience and evidence of continuing professional development are required.
You must be able to travel across the local area and work flexibly within service needs.
