You will have an opportunity to learn whilst you work with Active Care Group. After probation you will be working towards Level 4 Diploma in Residential child care. What you'll be working:
You will take full operational leadership of two homes, creating structured, therapeutic spaces for children with complex needs
You will recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing team who share your commitment to excellence
You will ensure homes exceed regulatory standards and deliver truly child-centred care
You will be required to travel to different locations the role will predominantly be Monday to Friday 9-5 however there maybe occasions where you need to be flexible to support with the needs of the young person.
You should be friendly and approachable with good communication skills, enabling you to build positive, trusting relationships with the children you support. Our staff come from all walks of life, and bring their experiences, interests and skills – be that cooking, sports, the outdoors, art or crafts – with them to enrich children’s lives.
You will provide person-centred care and support to a cheerful 7-year-old boy with chronic lung disease, helping him thrive in his local primary school environment. Your day will begin at his home, where you will accompany him safely to school, and conclude by escorting him home again.
You will provide person centred support to individuals within their home environment, promoting independence while ensuring safety and wellbeing. The role involves supporting daily living tasks and working in line with individual care plans.
