You will be positively supporting people by providing holistic support including personal care, medication administration, integration into the local community and managing their anxieties, which they may communicate through distressing behaviour. No experience is necessary, so don't worry if you don't think you know enough about how to support adults with autism.
You will have a very strong eye for detail and a good understanding of what it takes to balance and prioritise multiple responsibilities in a busy kitchen and events venue.
You must have experience of working in a fresh food kitchen at any level, and a passion for learning new recipes an experimenting with new ideas, you will also be a good team player who enjoys the pressures of a busy workplace.
You will be part of a team of coaches who will be leading and delivering sporting and physical activities primarily to young people aged between 5 and 16 years, however some activities will also be targeted at the 16+ age range. Staff will initially be employed to work on South Derbyshire District Council’s extensive range of summer delivery between the 7th July and the 29th August.
