You will be spending your time with our client within their own home where you will be supporting with their daily routine. They were born premature and suffered a lack of oxygen to the brain which resulted in severe damage to the cells in their central nervous system. They present with complex Neurodisability and four limb cerebral palsy, with dystonia.
You should be reliable, considerate and caring in your approach, and flexible when it comes to your work patterns. Formal qualifications aren't necessary, although any similar experience gained in a commercial or care setting would be useful.
You will be providing a great deal of companionship and support to our customers, which will include helping them with daily living activities, such as making drinks, chatting, cooking, light domestic duties and support around the home. Every day will be different, and you’ll meet people from every walk of life, hear some amazing stories and learn along the way!
You should be flexible, reliable, and able to remain calm under pressure, with a willingness to learn, take direction, and develop new skills. Preferably, though not essential, is experience working with animals, whether in a veterinary practice, a clinical or care environment, or within a customer‐facing role.
You will work 40 hours per week between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday.
