You will be required to support in small classes from Year 7 – Year 11, using behaviour management skills in assisting pupils in overcoming barriers to learning. Pupils are all aged 11-16 with some students having EHCPs for Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs as well as associated needs such as Autism or ADHD.

You will need to be resilient, empathetic, patient and not take things too personally.

You will be responsible for maintaining a positive and focused learning atmosphere, supporting students with a variety of subjects, and ensuring continuity of learning in the teacher’s absence. Key Responsibilities:

You will be working in an environment that values patience, resilience, and the ability to build strong, professional bonds with students. The Role:1:1 Mentoring: Supporting secondary pupils who may display challenging behaviour and disengagement from learning. Behaviour Support: Implementing de-escalation strategies and helping pupils develop emotional regulation skills.

You will join our KS1 team as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, supporting class teachers and working closely with children in Year 1 and Year 2. Your role will involve both whole-class support and targeted small-group or one-to-one interventions to help children make excellent progress.

You will work alongside experienced teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a safe, stimulating, and highly personalised learning environment. Part of the role will include adapting lesson content to suit the child, working with the Teacher to achieve objectives, feedback to the SENCO on the pupil's development and liaise with parents.
