Behaviour Support Assistant jobs in Lymington
You will be required to support pupils across the school in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
You will be empathetic, nurturing, be able to manage varying levels of challenging behaviour and have the ability to think on your feet and adapt to situations. This is a challenging environment to work in, but also very rewarding.
You will work closely with teachers and other staff to implement strategies that help students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. ---------------------------------------------------------------
You will be required to help develop their independence skills, pursue hobbies and introduce new hobbies or any activities the young person would like to try, understand the wider community and help build relationships and make friends.
You will assist with lesson delivery, provide one-to-one and small group support, and help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment. What We're Looking For
You will provide appropriate physical and emotional support to young people in residence as part of a team of care staff within a residential environment.
You will be an excellent role model, conducting yourself in a professional manner and being able to relate to staff in a supportive and motivational manner.
