You will be required to work on a 1:1 basis (or 2:1 with support of an additional practitioner).
You will be working on a flexible contract where various interventions will be offered based upon location and match with a student.
You will need to be available during daytime hours, Monday-Friday.
You will be an effective communicator, liaising with the residents' families and external organisations.
You will model best practices and support staff in consistently applying the PBS approach in their daily work. Key Responsibilities:Support the Care Home Manager and take charge in their absence.
You will encourage new experiences, supporting the young people to develop their own identity. You’ll be patient, thrive in a team environment, able to support those around you and have the emotional intelligence and resilience to manage challenging situations.
You will need to successfully complete an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare before you complete 24 months of Support Work.
You will be responsible for assessing progress, managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies, and supporting students in achieving their academic potential.
