Assistant Ship Mechanic jobs in Coventry

You will be expected to lead and develop various mechanical engineering systems, equipment and components - The successful candidate will connect and build relationships with suppliers to ensure that equipment and component specifications challenging demands

You will also obtain a Design Pass Off by the customer on time and to project plan and ensure that BOM's are produced on time and within budget, and will negotiate with external suppliers in order to obtain the most cost-efficient materials in line with project budgets and timing plans.

You will: Liaise with the office to obtain workload / order spare parts / update on findings or delays - Travel to site which could be anywhere across the UK - Asses working environment and engage with customer in a polite and friendly manor - Complete works covering repairs and engine overhauls of diesel engines land based or on board a vessel docked/dry-docked

You will oversee projects from office-based studies and proposals to full design, procurement, coordination, and site delivery, often managing a portfolio of projects simultaneously.

You will work on a hybrid basis out of our Leicester or Kingsbury (Tamworth) office and need to be based within commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

You will be a true Brand Ambassador who will be able to interact easily with a variety of customers.
