You will keep a high standard of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining room areas, carry out all cleaning duties as outlined in the development-cleaning schedule, help with basic food preparation, serve meals to tenants and when necessary, assist escorting tenants to the dining room.

You will work quickly and effectively to undertake basic food preparation, serving meals and beverages to our customers.

You should have good communication, literacy and numeracy skills as well as knowledge of current products and customer demands.

You will also be a good team player with experience of working with customers on a daily basis and minimal experience of till and cash handling.

You will be responsible for ensuring that a quality catering service is delivered to all customers within allocated sites whilst ensuring East Renfrewshire Council remains compliant with the Schools (Health promotion and Nutrition) (Scotland) Act 2020, Setting the table guidance, Healthy working lives, better eating better learning, whilst contributing to service objectives.

You will also be expected to provide a high standard of customer service and to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external suppliers. The role requires a good level of IT literacy, with experience in using Microsoft Office applications and Case Management Systems.
