You will learn how to schedule projects and track project performance.
You will provide input to Integrated Project Teams meetings to answer questions concerning business projects and be able to co-ordinate activities with other related areas of the business to support the business process.
You will learn directly from experienced technicians and engineers and gain exposure to real engineering projects.
You will be resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program
You will be 18 years old or older before entering an Amazon building (August 2026)
You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship.
You will be an integral part of our experienced and welcoming Civils Team, working on a variety of significant development and road infrastructure projects.
You will gain a Level 6 BEng Civil Engineering degree in conjunction with our Training Provider, Strathclyde University or Edinburgh Napier University (day release).
You will be working within world class facilities. During your apprenticeship, you may be working in an office or lab environment or a combination of both.
You will undertake a series of rotational placements within our Test Systems Group.
You must have (as a minimum) the following academic qualifications:
You will have the drive and commitment to work through difficult problems to find the right engineering solutions.
You will study at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh for completion of a BEng (Hons) in Engineering: Design & Manufacture (Mechanical) through a mixture of work-based learning, distance learning and day release at university.
You will rotate around our material control teams gaining experience of the different work/projects specific to your department in Edinburgh
You will achieve this qualification through a combination of day release plus experience in the workplace.
You will also work towards an SVQ in Business Management which relates to your on site experience and an HNC in Business at Edinburgh College
