You will take responsibility for the electronics and firmware design of products from concept through to production taking into account requirements, timescales, cost and regulatory constraints.
You will be working from home autonomously, occasionally in pairs for larger jobs, covering a territory in the South East. Undertaking work for customers within industries & applications such as Food & Beverages, Production, Pharmaceutical etc.
You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
You will have the ability to collaborate with other disciplines and have experience in supporting and leading other civil engineers.
You will also have a track record of undertaking designs and completing design deliverables within required timescales and design budgets.
You must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail skills and possess the ability to work calmly and methodically under pressure. Skills wise you will be competent in the use of cloud platform management – Azure/AWS, ITIL. And virtualisation platform management - Nutanix/VMWare/Hyper-V.
You will be degree qualified in a relevant field or have equivalent experience and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an electronic engineering development environment. You’ll also need to have experience in the design of electronic products, a good working knowledge of PCB and component level circuit design and hands on experience of using electronic test and measurement equipment.
You will join a small, structured technical team working within a mechanical test laboratory environment. The role focuses on hands-on testing, data capture and technical reporting to support ongoing development and verification activities.
