You must be able to build a trusting and friendly rapport with all of the service users and to work within the guidelines of local and corporate policies in a dignified manner.
You must be flexible and willing to work the required shifts patterns including evening, weekends and potential for night support, in line with needs of service users.
You will be providing person-centred care and support to people with mental health needs, complex care needs, learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorders at our services in Liverpool. Your Support Worker role will include: - Providing practical and emotional support to service users in line with Personal Support Plans
You will be supporting children and young people with severe learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, including some individuals who are non-verbal.
You will provide encouragement and praise, remain calm and patient during times of crisis, and use your experience and passion to inspire colleagues and help achieve the best possible outcomes for the young people in your care.
You must be able to work using your own initiative, promote independence and work effectively as part of a team to allow service users enjoy the highest quality of life. Experience of at least twelve months paid care work is essential for this role.
You will be paid on a weekly basis.
You will provide person centred care and support to adults on the autism spectrum – who may also have learning disabilities and complex needs.
You will support them in all aspects of everyday life, alongside promoting and encouraging engagement in community activities.
You must be able to follow agreed guidelines and to work positively within a consistent, mutually supportive team ethos.
