You should have an SVQ Level 3, HNC, Apprenticeship, or equivalent in a building‑related discipline; be Gas Safe registered and/or ACS accredited (with annual renewal of accreditation); and/or NICEIC accredited (or equivalent).
You should also have extended relevant experience, preferably within the gas, electric heating, and renewables sector.
You will cover skills such as data mining, manipulating data, visualising data, and reporting on data. Study time for the qualification is approximately 30 hours and qualification is achieved by completing a 1-hour multiple choice exam.
You will be provided with access to a tutor and a 1-hour online revision workshop prior to sitting your exam.
You must be able to travel to and from college. After completing your first year at college, you will be required to work a shift pattern that includes night shifts.
You will progress through a Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering over a 4-year programme. Your time will be divided between attending college and gaining real life workplace experience.
