You will lead a team consisting of the Lead Science Technician, a Science Technician, and an Apprentice Science Technician .

You will support Science practicals for GCSE and A level Sciences as well as Level 2 and 3 BTEC Applied Science and Level 2 and 3 Access Science courses.

You will lead a team of two subject-specific technicians, managing the entire suite of Science laboratories and prep rooms. The role includes overseeing stock control, budget input, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and ensuring seamless practical support for all key stages, especially A-Level.

You will be contributing to a variety of consultancy project types that will primarily include; flow and load survey, headroom assessments, technology optioneering, feasibility and pilot studies, process design, process commissioning, process optimisation, RCA and troubleshooting.

You will be instrumental in the smooth running of the school's well-equipped laboratories. Experience and Qualifications - Relevant technical qualification or a degree in a Science subject (Chemistry background highly desirable). - Proven experience working in a school or industrial laboratory setting.

You will also support the wider School of Civil Engineering technical activities, in line with the current strategic organisation and development of technical services in the School.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of several laboratories, and for liaising with a range of people, including teaching and research staff, students and other technicians.
